Variable Universal Life
Variable Universal Life provides the owner with all the benefits of universal life insurance protection, plus flexible investment options. The policy owner selects how the cash value of the policy is invested among the investment options offered. These investment choices typically include stock, bond, and asset-allocation funds, allowing the policy owner to take advantage of market opportunities. Many companies even offer name brand investment options.
This insurance is one of the most popular and widely used insurance and wealth accumulation vehicles today.
At the beginning of 2000, more than $1.1 trillion of variable universal life insurance was in-force, and today, approximately 36 percent of the individual life insurance marketplace is comprised of variable life insurance. (Source: Bisys Insurance)
